Privacy statement

Who we are
EnergieAanbieding.nl is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website. Send questions about privacy, or a request to view or delete your data, to info@energieaanbieding.nl. We respond within one month.
Contract alarm
If you switch on the contract alarm, we store:
- your email address;
- the month in which your contract ends, or that you want a notification about new deals;
- the date of signing up, of confirming and of the reminder;
- two random codes for the confirmation and unsubscribe link.
We only use that data to send you a confirmation email and then one reminder. The legal basis is your consent: the alarm is only switched on once you click the button in the confirmation email.
If you do not confirm, we delete your sign-up seven days after the confirmation email. After the reminder, we keep your data for another thirty days and then delete it. You can always unsubscribe, via the link in the reminder or by emailing us; your data is then deleted immediately.
Clicks to an energy supplier
If you click a button to a supplier, that click goes via a dedicated address on this site (/uit/). There we count which supplier, which button and which page it was, with only a rough device type (mobile, tablet or computer) and the country. No IP address, no cookie and nothing by which we recognise you.
You then arrive at the supplier, often via an affiliate network such as Daisycon, Awin or TradeTracker. That network and the supplier may set a cookie to see that you came via us; that is how we receive a fee if you switch (see our how we make money). The network and the supplier themselves are responsible for those cookies and data; their privacy statement is on their own site.
Protection against abuse
To prevent anyone from spamming the alarm's sign-up form or trying to guess an administrator password, we count per day how often a connection uses the form. For this we never store your IP address, but an encrypted code that changes every day. After one day we delete the code and the key, and it can no longer be traced back to an IP address. The legal basis is our legitimate interest: keeping the site and the alarm secure.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used: which pages are visited, with what kind of device, from which region, and whether someone clicks a button to a supplier or switches on the alarm. For this, Google Analytics sets cookies (see below). Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. We only use the figures to improve the site.
Cookies
- Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_ followed by a code): distinguishes visits, for the statistics above.
- Affiliate networks and suppliers: only when you click through to a supplier, on their own domain.
We do not set any cookies for visitors ourselves. You can always refuse or delete cookies in your browser; the site will then still work normally.
Who else processes your data
- Netlify hosts the website and the alarm. For this, Netlify processes technical data, such as your IP address, in the server log files.
- Resend sends the alarm's emails.
- Google provides Google Analytics.
Agreements on data processing are in place with these parties. Some of them are based in the United States; transfers then take place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Reviews by others
On the review pages, we show short excerpts from public reviews, with only the first name of the author and a link to the source. If your review is included and you do not want that, email us; we will remove it.
Your rights
You may view your data, have it corrected or have it deleted, and you can object to its use. To do so, email info@energieaanbieding.nl. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
